The Franciscan Adult School

The Franciscan Adult School is designed to provide an opportunity to enhance the growth and formation of the whole person.

The Franciscan Adult School is committed to providing enrichment and social awareness for the Business and Residential Communities in Downtown Boston through programs such as Spirituality and the Arts, Reflect A While and course offerings.

The Franciscan Adult School offers students opportunities to grow stronger spiritually. Courses in Spirituality, Franciscan Spirituality, Adult Faith Formation, Retreats, and Conferences focusing on the integration of one's spiritual, work and family lives are also planned for participants.

The Franciscan Adult School also provides training for new Worship Ministers (Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers) and Master's workshops for seasoned Lectors.

July 24: “Fatal Embrace: Christians, Jews, and the Search for
Peace in the Holy Land” by Mark Braverman
August 14: “Faith Beyond Despair: Building Hope in the Holy
Land” by Elias Chacour in dialogue with “Fatal Embrace....”

The books may be purchased at Amazon.com. NOTE: Faith Beyond Despair is currently out of stock at Amazon; backorders and alternative dealers may be found at Amazon. Books must be read before joining the discussion group. Please bring your book(s), a brown bag lunch, and a beach blanket/beach chair. Food may be purchased at Sullivan's take-out only restaurant located at the base of the castle.
Preregistration requested. We will meet at Castle Island near Sullivan’s by 11 a.m. at the latest and find a suitable picnic area.
